Exclusive Presentation and Meet & Greet with ABBA’s Original Designer Owe Sandström
Meet ABBA’s legendary costume designer Owe Sandström and discover the true story behind the group’s iconic stage outfits. During this unique event, Owe will personally share the inspiration, creative process, and hidden stories behind some of the most famous costumes in pop history.
You will also have the opportunity to experience an exclusive selection of original costumes that are not normally displayed in our regular exhibition.
The show takes place in the cinema:

Meet & Greet in the museum shop:
Between 13:00–14:15 and 15:30–16:15, you will have the chance to meet Owe in the museum shop. Ask the questions you have always wondered about, take a photo together, and get your new ABBA merch signed by Owe!

Design Your Own ABBA Outfit – Workshop with Owe Sandström
Join us for a creative workshop where visitors can design their very own ABBA-inspired stage outfits under the guidance of none other than Owe Sandström – the legendary costume designer behind many of ABBA’s most iconic looks!
We’ll provide all the materials. Participants will receive sketchpads and colored pencils to bring their ABBA visions to life.
Owe will be there to offer feedback and design tips, while also sharing behind-the-scenes stories from his time working with ABBA.
And the best part? You’ll be guided by Owe himself – a true ABBA treasure!

ABBA VOYAGE EXHIBITION @ ABBA THE MUSEUM

A new temporary exhibition – ABBA Voyage Exhibition @ ABBA The Museum – opened on May 7 2023.
The exhibition shows the making of ABBAs latest album and the ground-breaking virtual concert experience. The exhibition also shows exclusive interviews and footage, stage costumes by B Åkerlund in collaboration with leading designers such as Dolce Gabbana and Michael Schmidt.

In the exhibition at ABBA The Museum you will find our very own cinema. Here we show movies during the whole time the museum is open. The movies are shown continuously throughout the day so there is no specific time you have to be there. Just take a seat and enjoy the movie!
The movies we show right now is:
Pop Story
An animated movie based on Björn Ulvaeus book by the same name. The film is made exclusively for the museum and can only be seen here.
ABBA In Concert
Join the band on their 1979 tour to North America and Europe. During the film you get to see what´s going on behind the scenes when ABBA is meeting fans, rehearsing, relaxing, and preparing for their show. It also consists of interviews and trailers, as well as a show at Wembley Arena in London.
